A driver of a BMW was allegedly caught blasting past cars at an extraordinary speed on a public road.

A Paralowie man has been arrested and his BMW impounded after he was allegedly caught doing more than double the speed limit on a northern suburbs road.
Police say they detected the BMW station wagon allegedly driving along Montague Road, Pooraka, at 147km/h in a 70km/h zone on Saturday, just before 4pm.
The 36-year-old driver arrested, charged and issued with a 12 month loss of licence. His car was impounded for 28 days.
His charges include driving at a dangerous speed, exceeding the speed limit, failing to submit to a breath analysis and giving a false answer to identity of driver of a vehicle.
He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on July 30
