‘Illegal gains’: Man charged after ABF and SA Police raid Salisbury Plains home, seizing steroids and performance enhancing drugs
Authorities have raided a drug lab in the state’s north and put a hold on ‘illegal gains’ seizing steroids and performance enhancing drugs.

Gym junkies who rely on illegal substances to see results will have a tougher time accessing performance enhancing drugs after Australian Border Force officers raided a home in Adelaide’s north, seizing a large quantity of steroids and other substances.
Last Tuesday, May 14, ABF officers executed a search warrant at a property in Salisbury Plains as part of an ongoing investigation.
At the address, they found a shed which contained various pill presses, glassware and steroid vials, which suggested performance and image enhancing drugs (PIEDS) were being manufactured at the premises.
Officers seized 7.5kg of powders labelled as hormones and steroids, 21 boxes of prescription medication, 500 Clenbuterol Hydrochloride tablets, PIED packaging labels, a large quantity of domestic mail packaging material, six mobile phones and seven credit cards in various names.
SA Police officers were also at the scene, and further seized two pill presses, a vacuum pump, large amounts of suspicious liquids, prescription medication and vials and containers.
Investigations into the seized items are continuing.
A 36-year-old man has since been arrested and charged with four counts of Importing Tier 1 Goods.
He is due to face the Adelaide Magistrates Court in August.
ABF Inspector Steve Garden said performance enhancing drugs can have severe impacts on users.
Our officers undergo world class training to detect and respond to illegal activity and protect the Australian community,” Inspector Garden said.
“We will not allow any illegal gains for this man, nor any other who seeks to profit by exploiting the Australian border.”
