Former Beauty and the Geek star Daniel Iachini opens up on Tamika Chesser, his ex reality TV co-star and woman accused of murdering ex-partner in Port Lincoln

A former Beauty and the Geek contestant has opened up about his time on the reality TV show alongside the woman accused of murdering her partner in Port Lincoln.

A former co-star of the reality TV contestant accused of murdering her ex-partner in Port Lincoln has opened up about their time on the program.

Tamika Chesser, 34, a runner-up on the 2010 season of Channel 7’s Beauty and the Geek, has been charged with one count each of murder and destroying human remains to pervert the course of justice after allegedly killing her partner Julian Story last Thursday.

Adelaide’s Daniel Iachini co-starred alongside Ms Chesser on the reality TV show, and said he had fond memories of their time together on the program.

“She was a lovely girl who was always nice to me and others and showed kindness to all the other contestants,” he said.

“This entire situation is very sad and distressing for everyone.”

Mr Iachini, who now lives interstate, said he and Ms Chesser “weren’t really close” on the show and they haven’t spoken in seven years.

Ms Chesser is accused of murdering and dismembering Mr Story, with police making a public plea on Friday to find the victim’s head.

The former reality TV star and adult content creator is currently being detained in a mental health facility.

On Saturday, police continued their search for Mr Story’s missing remains around Port Lincoln. Mr Story’s relatives, speaking through a statement issued by SA Police, described his death as an “unimaginable loss”.
