“The one I’ll love forever,” read another from Paige “and the boys”.

“Love you Maxy, rest in peace buddy,” said a message from Bon.

A can of Monster energy drink had also been placed amid the bouquets of flowers.

The words “RIP Max” with his birthday and date of his death had been carved in a tree at the site.

Max is the 67th person to die on South Australian roads this year.

Days later, on Tuesday morning, another young person was killed at Waterloo Corner, just a short drive from Sunday’s crash.

The 19-year-old Buckland Park woman died at the scene after her Lexus sedan collided with a concrete truck at the intersections of Port Wakefield Highway and McEvoy Road just after midnight on Tuesday.
