A 23-year-old woman who allegedly rammed a car 10 times in a shocking two-minute rampage caught on video at a Whyalla service station has been charged with endangering life.
The shocking footage, captured on video by a witness and obtained by 7News, unfolded about 2.20pm on Tuesday at the Ampol service station on Ekblom St.
The white Mazda hatchback can be seen repeatedly reversing and accelerating to slam into a small blue SUV parked at the bowser with a passenger in the front seat.
Onlookers can be heard shouting in disbelief as the woman continues to ram the vehicle, stopping only after the car appears to break down.
Local police arrived within minutes and arrested the 23-year-old from Iron Knob — a town about 50km west of Whyalla.
On Wednesday morning, SA Police confirmed the woman had been charged with acts to endanger life, driving in a manner dangerous to the public and property damage.
She was bailed to appear in the Whyalla Magistrates Court on July 1.
The 64-year-old female passenger of the blue SUV was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Both vehicles were left extensively damaged.
The motive behind the incident remains unclear.
