Australia’s Basketball World Cup Bid 04/09/2023

Australia is set to bid for the basketball world cup in the wake of last month’s record breaking FIFA Women’s soccer World Cup. 

An elite child-rescuing police team is investigating three new cases every week, warning that exploitation has “exploded” in the past decade and perpetrators are “literally any­one and everyone walking among us”. 

Acting Queensland Premier Steven Miles has still not spoken with Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk more than a week after she jetted off on a surprise holiday to Italy, saying it would take only “an emergency” for him to contact her. 

Four of Melbourne’s worst teen offenders have stolen a total of 90 cars, mostly taken in their combined 170 home burglaries. 

Taylor Swift fans have been left frustrated after her official Australian tour ticket resale was delayed, but thousands of new seats will become available before the end of the year.
