Emergency services have been called to Golden Grove High School to reports of an assault.
Just before 9.30am on Monday, an ambulance was called to the school to treat a student following a violent altercation.
Golden Grove High School Principal Peter Kuss said three students were involved in the incident this morning “with a drink being tipped over a student and another student’s hair pulled and their head hitting the ground”.
“Staff immediately provided first aid, contacted SA Ambulance Service and the families of those involved” Mr Kuss said.
“As a result of the incident, disciplinary consequences will be applied,” Mr Kuss said.
“Violence is absolutely unacceptable and the school takes the safety of its students very seriously. Wellbeing support has been offered to the student.”
SA Police were advised of the incident by a parent of a student involved.
The school, as per its policy, intended to notify police until the parent did so, an Education Department spokeswoman said.
In 2022, Golden Grove High School was engulfed in controversy after a spate of violent incidents and anti-social student behaviour.
Graphic videos of student fights were published on social media and the school was rocked as the series of videos came to light.
In one video a Year 7 boy is seen cowering in the corner of a school toilet cubicle as a Year 9 student unleashes a barrage of hits to his head and upper body.
Another video shows a small female teacher trying to break up a brawl between two large male students.
