The owner of an Adelaide fashion boutique has made the “big decision” to close her prominent shop on Rundle St as it moves to an online-only model.

Owner Lisa Ranieri opened The Style Capsule’s bricks-and-mortar store in 2021, selling women’s clothing she designed under her label Valenté The Label.

Earlier this month, the shop posted a statement on Facebook sharing it would close in one month after its lease ends.

“Our lease is coming to an end and we have made the big decision to move online only,” the statement said.

“I can honestly say that I have poured my heart and soul into this space, this little boutique has had all of me and I have loved every minute of it.

“From the very first day I opened, this boutique has been more than just a shop, it (has) been a space for connection, transformation and so many beautiful conversations.

“We’ve styled for job interviews, first dates, formals, milestone birthdays.

“We’ve laughed a lot, shared stories, hosted fun events and watched women light up with confidence in outfits they love.”

Customers shared tributes to the business in comments, saying they would miss coming into the shop.

“Oh Lisa, how sad to say goodbye … such talent and good vibes of love you possess,” one customer said.

The shop’s website says Valenté The Label, which offers clothing in sizes 4-18, was “born from seeing too many women limited by standard sizing and uninspiring designs”.

In 2022 Ms Ranieri told Experience Adelaide, a promotional publication linked to Adelaide City Council, that she started the label in 2019.

“It has taken a lot of perseverance and endurance, but I get so much joy in seeing people’s confidence increase when wearing my designs,” she said.

The shop is offering closing down specials throughout May.

Ms Ranieri was contacted for further comment.
