SuperUtes driver Rossi ‘The Territorian’ Johnson is gearing up for an action packed 2025 season in what will be his second year in the category.

Johnson will get his campaign underway in a weeks time in Sydney, a venue he’s ‘struggled’ with in the past.

“We’ve been getting everything in order down at The Bend (South Australia) where my team is based and we most recently had a hit out down at Sydney,” Johnson said.

“Unfortunately the weather was against us so we didn’t get as much time on track as we had hoped for as it’s a track we’ve struggled with in the past in the Colorado with the high loaded fast corners.”

Eager to continue his growth in the category Johnson is hopeful to build of the positive momentum he had at the end of last season where he placed fifth at the Adelaide 500.

“Like always my goal is to become a mainstay in the top 10, then progress to be on the podium,” he said.

“We’ve done some great work on the car in the off-season and if you don't’, you’ll be left behind, and it’s don’t want to find yourself at the back of the pack.”

On a sour note Johnson won’t have the privilege of racing his number 333 ute in front of his home fans after SuperUtes axed the category for the 2025 Darwin Triple Crown.

However, Johnson is hopeful he will have an opportunity to tear up the asphalt nevertheless.

“I’ve got some fantastic Territory businesses behind me and support from the NT which I’m always grateful for as I wouldn’t be able to compete without their backing,” he said.

“We won’t be competing in the utes this year in Darwin which I’m rather disappointed about.

“But I am hoping to make an appearance in another national category, so watch this space.”
