Woman taken to hospital with smoke inhalation after Cleveland fire

A woman has been rushed to hospital after a fire at a unit on Brisbane’s bayside.

A woman has been rushed to hospital after the second level of a unit complex has been fully engulfed in flames.

Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire at Queen St, Cleveland, just before 7am.

On arrival, crews found smoke and flames issuing from a two-storey building, understood to be a unit complex, with the second level fully engulfed by flames.

A woman, who was an occupant of the building, was assessed for smoke inhalation before she was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.
