Bring Him To Me, from director Luke Sparke, follows a getaway driver under orders from a ruthless crime boss, battling his conscience as he drives a young, unsuspecting passenger to an uncertain fate.

The movie, filming in Brisbane this month, unites Pepper, an Emmy Award-winning actor of Saving Private Ryan and The Green Mile fame, with accomplished duo Neill and Griffiths, who previously worked together on 2019 film Ride Like A Girl.

It also stars Liam McIntyre, Zac Garred, Jennings Brower and American actor Jamie Costa, who shot to viral fame in 2021 with his portrayal of Robin Williams in a short film.

Bring Him To Me, written by Tom Evans, was inspired by a traumatic scene in Martin Scorsese’s 1995 film Casino.

“It’s so surreal to be able to work with Barry, Sam and Rachel,” said Sparke, who previously directed Occupation: Rainfall on the Gold Coast.

“They are experts in their craft and will bring so much depth to their respective characters.

“I’ve been fascinated by morally grey stories like “Breaking Bad” and “Drive”, so when presented with the chance to dive deep into the underworld, I couldn’t resist bringing my own flavour to the genre toeing the lines of film noir and graphic novels.”

It’s the latest production underway in Queensland, with Netflix’s Boy Swallows Universe filming across Brisbane, with scenes in Dalby this week, and teen series Rock Island Mysteries filming on the Gold Coast.

Bring Him to Me will feature at the European Film Market in Berlin in February after Myriad Pictures acquired international sales rights.

Sparke Films is negotiating Australian and New Zealand rights.
