Rockhampton man Barry Wooler dies in Nirimba Bruce Hwy caravan crash
A Rockhampton man who died in a Sunshine Coast Bruce Hwy caravan crash that left his wife seriously injured earlier this month has been named.

The victim of a Bruce Hwy crash on the Sunshine Coast involving a caravan earlier this month has been named.
Rockhampton man Barry James Wooler, 81, died in the crash on May 15 after the Mazda ute with caravan trailer he was driving collided with another car and went down an embankment.
Three days after the crash, the Kathy J Wooler Speech Pathology clinic announced Kathy and Barry were involved in an accident that resulted in Mr Wooler’s passing.
“Please keep Kathy and her family in your thoughts and prayers,” the post read.
“We are all heartbroken.
“Barry will be greatly missed by us all.”
A notice was posted by Gregson and Weight Funerals on May 29, stating Mr Wooler would always be “loved and remembered”.
It stated Mr Wooler was a beloved husband, much loved father and father-in-law, cherished grandfather and adored great-grandfather.
A funeral is scheduled for Mr Wooler for June 3 and a memorial service will be held in Rockhampton at a later date.
Friends and family shared their condolences to Mrs Wooler in the comments of the clinic’s post.
Lauren Hume said Mr Wooler was “such a kind man”.
“He always stopped for a chat and had a smile on his face,” she wrote.
“You will be very missed Barry.”
Katrina Perkins described Mr Wooler as “such a friendly man” and Kylie Hull commented he was a “lovely man” before sending her love to Mrs Wooler.
Narika Denney also commented on the post.
“We will miss that chat here and there and his kind smile,” she wrote.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said an investigation into the crash continued.
