From drug possession and violent assaults to traffic offences, Queensland’s alleged bikies have managed to stack up extensive rap sheets.

There are a number of alleged Queensland bikies who have recently fronted court charged with consorting offences.

Key players include Zivko Stojakovic, who has been convicted of common assault and cocaine possession, and George Bejat, who has had convictions of cocaine trafficking.

Bejat was sentenced to two months’ jail, which was suspended for a year, for a “violent pack assault” of a former footballer outside Mr Mista nightclub in February 2020.

Matthew Mackay and Paea Talakai were also convicted over the incident.

In sentencing Bejat for consorting in December, the Magistrate concluded that Bejat was just socialising with convicted criminals.

On January 12, Mehran Faraji was convicted of consorting and fined $1000.

William Adib Samra was convicted of consorting with George Bejat, Zivko Stojakovic, Matthew Mackay and Sava Cvetkovic on October 15 after being given consorting warning notices containing 15 names.

He had already served jail time on remand when bail was refused earlier and was not punished further.

Zivko Stojakovic was sentenced in August 2021 to one year in prison with immediate parole for consorting with George Bejat, William Samra, Sava Cvetkovic, Mehran Faraji and Matthew Mackay.

His sentence included a conviction for possession of cocaine and assault.

Paea Langiotu Talakai, Amein Odeh and Matthew Kevin Mackay have also faced convictions for a number of offences and have links to Queensland’s outlaw motorcycle gangs.

Zivko Stojakovic

In August 2021 Stojakovic was sentenced to one year in prison with immediate parole for consorting with George Bejat, William Samra, Sava Cvetkovic, Mehran Faraji and Matthew Mackay.

This sentence included a conviction for possession of cocaine and assault for grabbing a hotel concierge and threatening him at the Palazzo Versace.

He was convicted for possession of cocaine in August 2021 over an incident in November 2019 and was convicted for a $60 taxi fare evasion and ordered to repay the debt.

In April 2021 he was convicted of common assault charges of a Brisbane hotel concierge manager and got 12 months prison with immediate parole.

Stojakovic was found by police with 1.64g of cocaine in his pocket at a table with five other alleged bikies at Hellenika in July 2020.

He was convicted and sentenced to six months prison with immediate parole in August 2021.

In 2018 he was bankrupt over a $250,000 tax debt.

Stojakovic was accused by police of extorting celebrity hairdresser Fadi Haddad in 2013 over a construction debt but the charges were dropped in 2015.

In 2014 he was jailed for two months after he pleaded guilty to assault occasioning bodily harm after hitting and kicking a student outside The Beat nightclub in Fortitude Valley in December 2019.

He was charged over the 2013 Broadbeach bikie brawl but the charges were dropped.

George Bejat

The alleged Comanchero was sentenced to two months’ jail, which was suspended for a year, for a “violent pack assault” of a former footballer outside Mr Mista nightclub in February 2020.

In 2018, he was sentenced to an 18-month jail term but released immediately on a five-year good-behaviour bond for evading more than $74,000 in tax.

He was fined for public nuisance in2016 for threatening to kill a security guard in Fortitude Valley when he was denied entry to the Met on new Year’s Day in 2015.

The convicted cocaine trafficker is one of the most high-profile alleged bikies in Brisbane and was once the Bandidos centro chapter president.

Bejat was charged in relation to a brawl at Broadbeach in 2013 but escaped with a $1750 fine.

He was charged over the extortion of celebrity hairdresser Fadi Haddad in 2013 but charges were dropped in 2016.

Paea Langiotu Talakai

In August 2021 Talakai was sentenced to six months prison suspended for 15 months for affray at the Mr Mista nightclub in February of the same year.

He was banned from Fortitude Valley for 12 months.

Matthew Kevin Mackay

Last year Mackay was convicted for affray over punching a former footballer outside Fortitude Valley’s Mr Mista nightclub in February.

He was convicted for possessing party drug fantasy and steroids on the same date.

He was previously convicted for punching a soldier outside Casablanca nightclub in 2012.

Amein Odeh

Odeh was convicted of possessing cocaine at The Calile Hotel in Fortitude Valley last July where he was also charged with consorting.

He pleaded guilty to the drug charge and was sentenced to three months in prison, suspended for nine months – a conviction was recorded.

He was convicted of weapons possession and drug possession and was sentenced to two months’ prison, suspended for a year in January 2017.

In September 2017 he was sentenced to 18 months prison for wounding in November 2014 but was released on immediate parole.

Samra was convicted of consorting with George Bejat, Zivko Stojakovic, Matthew Mackay and Sava Cvetkovic on October 15 after being given consorting warning notices containing 15 names.

In March he pleaded guilty to affray in court after he grabbed a man by the collar while his mate punched him in the head at Fortitude Valley’s Maya Mexican.

He was fined $250 for affray.

Mehran Faraji

In May 2020 police from the tactical crime squad found a taser in his Brisbane apartment, he was given a three month suspended prison sentence for the taser.

He was pulled over on the same day on Ann St for driving without a licence and fined $400.

He was given a three-month suspended prison sentence for the taser and $400 fine for driving without a licence.

Taskforce Maxima police searched his home days after they found the taser and found unlawfully obtained erection drugs Tadalafil and Sildenafil at his apartment.

He was fined $450 by the court.

OPERATION TANGO TIPTOE

Queensland’s latest operation targeting illicit activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs in the southeast came to an end after six months in December.

Operation Tiptoe Tango saw 11 people with links to the Bandidos OMCG arrested with drugs, firearms and cash seized.

Eight search warrants were executed between 24 June and 1 December across Ipswich, Brisbane and Moreton Bay by Detectives from the Crime and Intelligence Command’s Organised Crime Gangs Group Maxima Tactical with the assistance of officers from the Brisbane Drug Dog Squad.

Various quantities of diazepam, methylamphetamine, cocaine, MDMA, LSD, steroids, cannabis, and cannabis plants and seeds were seized with a total value of the drugs expected to be $520,850.

All 11 people arrested were either members or associated of the Bandidos OMCG on 297 charges including three people charged with drug trafficking.

A 24-year-old Gailes man, a 21-year-old Gailes woman and a 24-year-old Kallangur man were among those charged with multiple offences.
