Tourism operators are promoting hundreds of deals in News Corp mastheads across Australia over the next fortnight as part of the Great Queensland Getaway.

“Tourism and Events Queensland has encouraged tourism businesses right around the state to offer some great packages and experiences for your chance to grab a great deal,” TEQ chief executive Leanne Coddington said.

“This gives you even more reason to book a holiday to Queensland to experience our world-class tourism products and destinations. We have all your favourite holiday experiences, as well as plenty of new ones, so you’ll be sure to have a great time.”

Top deals include Tangalooma Island Resort off Brisbane, which is offering $168 off a twin-share stay, including return boat transfer and wild dolphin feeding.

Families can save $265 on a day trip to the Great Barrier Reef with Sunlover Reef Cruises, while award-winning operator Bad Fishy has 20 per cent off adult and children’s tickets for Trinity Inlet tours near Cairns.

Virgin Australia Group CEO Jayne Hrdlicka said the airline had never been more ready to welcome travellers back to the Sunshine State.

“We are delighted that travellers are returning to the skies and will be doing everything we can to help drive travel demand in our home state of Queensland,” she said.
