Qantas flight from Brisbane to Canberra forced to return to Qld after mechanical issue

A Qantas flight to Canberra has been forced to return to Brisbane on Friday night because of mechanical issues.

A Qantas flight to Canberra has been forced to return to Brisbane on Friday night because of mechanical issues.

Qantas flight QF2316 took off from Brisbane domestic airport at 7.10pm.

The de Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft climbed to the cruising altitude, but turned around after 40 minutes, when it was west of Coffs Harbour, because of a mechanical issue.

The plane landed without incident in Brisbane around 8.45pm.
