Four charged after man allegedly stabbed in Brisbane home

Four people have been charged following an alleged stabbing at a property in Stafford overnight.

Police will allege a group broke into a Wayland St property about 6pm on April 12 where a confrontation occurred with a 43-year-old Stafford man.

Police will further allege the victim sustained a minor stab wound to his shoulder from a pair of small scissors and he was punched multiple times in his head and stomach.

He was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The alleged offenders subsequently stole several personal items from the home and attempted to flee in a white MG HS SUV when they were intercepted and arrested by responding police.

A 37-year-old Fortitude Valley woman, 20-year-old Brisbane man, 47-year-old Fortitude Valley woman and a 39-year-old Brisbane man were charged with one count each of enter dwelling and commit, assault occasioning bodily harm while armed (small scissors) and common assault.

The 37-year-old woman and 20-year-old man are expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 14.

The 47-year-old woman and 39-year-old man are expected to appear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 30.

Investigations remain ongoing.
