A 33-year-old man with outstanding warrants for alleged domestic violence offences will face a New South Wales court today after being extradited from Queensland.

Police commenced an investigation in 2022 following reports a man allegedly threatened and stalked a woman known to him in NSW before he travelled to Queensland.

A 33-year-old man was arrested at his Calliope home on Monday, following extensive investigations by the North West Metropolitan Domestic Violence High Risk Offenders Team, with the assistance of the Queensland Police Service.

He appeared before Gladstone Magistrates Court on Wednesday, where an application for extradition was granted.

The man, accompanied by NSW Police officers, arrived at Sydney Airport on Thursday before he was taken to Surry Hills Police Station.

The warrants were executed in relation to a breach of a community corrections order.

The 33-year-old was charged with three counts stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (personal); contravene prohibition/restriction in AVO (domestic); attempt stalk/intimidate intend fear of harm (domestic); use carriage service to menace/harass/offend and dishonestly obtain financial advantage etc by deception.

He was refused bail and will appear before Downing Centre Local Court today.
