Queensland government employees have been told they are “no longer permitted” to acknowledge First Nations in their email signatures, Labor has claimed.

Labor’s spokeswoman for Closing the Gap and Reconciliation Leanne Enoch this morning tabled a leaked government email stating departments “are no longer permitted to add additional departmental branding elements, such as the First Nations acknowledgment with our together artwork”.

It came ahead Opposition Leader Steven Miles’ budget reply speech, in which he attacked Premier David Crisafulli’s “ego” and the lack cost of living support.
