A five-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a car at Ipswich.

A five-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a car at Ipswich.
The accident happened in Alesana Drive, between Hilton St and Raniga Drive, Bellbird Park, about 5.40pm on Wednesday.
The boy sustained serious abdominal, pelvic, chest and head injuries, as well as fractured ribs.
He was taken to Queensland Children’s Hospital.
It is understood the driver was uninjured. They were assisting police with investigations.
Alesana Drive between Hilton St and Raniga Drive was closed, with motorists advised to seek an alternative route.
