The Gambaro Group’s annual Mud Crab Cup is back for the 22nd year, despite the recent closure of the iconic Caxton St venue, which was traditionally the host venue of the crustacean clash.
On February 23 Gambaro’s Persone, set against the stunning backdrop of the Brisbane River, will host a race of epic proportions in support of The Courier-Mail Children's Fund.
In 2024, the Mud Crab Cup raised more than $170,000 for kids in need.
Punters can select their prized mud crab for an easy $250, before unleashing it in the crustacean race to beat all others.
If watching a pack of clawed critters battle it out isn’t enough entertainment, punters can enjoy an epic three-course set menu or beverage package to the sounds of live entertainment and DJs.
The event starts at 11am and tickets are available from $170pp.
