A surf coach who has been accused of more than 20 sexual offences against children has pleaded guilty to all charges in a Sunshine Coast court.

Connor John Christopher Lyons sat quietly in prison greens in the dock at Maroochydore Magistrates Court during his committal hearing, as police prosecutor Tara Miles handed up evidence for examination.

Evidence included witness statements, transcribed audio statements, images, screenshots of online conversations and birth certificates.

Lyons told the court he still did not wish for any legal representation.

After considering all the material handed to him, magistrate Chris Callaghan deemed there was enough evidence for the matter to be taken to the higher court.

Mr Callaghan informed Lyons of his rights, including his right to apply to cross-examine witnesses, which he declined.

“I read the charges and I agree with him,” Lyons told the court.

Mr Callaghan then read out 28 charges, including 20 counts of indecent treatment against a child and two counts of making child exploitation videos, to the court.

Lyons was not required to speak in response to the charges, but immediately entered guilty pleas to all 28 charges.

Mr Callaghan adjourned the matter to the Maroochydore District Court on a date to be determined.

Five summary charges of wilful exposure, which no pleas were entered to, have been set for mention on November 19.
