A Brisbane girl has been found dead in a neighbour’s pool after going missing from her home.

Police are investigating the sudden death of the four-year-old girl after she went missing from a Deakin Place address in Forest Lake at 9.40am on Monday.

Extensive searches were carried out on the ground and by Polair before the girl was found deceased in a pool at a neighbouring property around 12.20pm.

An investigation into the circumstances of the girl’s death is ongoing and a report is being prepared for the coroner.
