Thousands of Queenslanders are preparing to pay their respects this Anzac Day. Falling on April 25 every year, the national day of remembrance typically means stores and businesses will close for the day.

Supermarkets
All Woolworths stores across Brisbane will be shut except for the Brisbane Airport location. All Coles and Aldi stores will be closed but it is advised customers check individual store trading hours as they may differ. As IGA stores are independently owned opening times may vary and it is advised customers check their local store for their trading hours.
Bottle Shops
All Liquorland stores will be closed on Anzac Day while the majority of Dan Murphy’s and BWS stores will open from 1pm. It is advised customers check individual store trading hours as they may differ.
Services Australia
Services Australia’s Offices and call centres will be closed on Anzac Day, which means their customers’ reporting and payment date will change and occur earlier than expected. The Centrelink online account will show the new reporting date for the period. We advise you to check its website for more information.

Myer stores: Closed
David Jones stores: Closed
Kmart stores: Closed
Target stores: Closed
Big W stores: Closed
Bunnings stores: Closed
Shopping centres
Brisbane Westfields: Closed
Uptown (Myer Centre): Closed
Queens Plaza: Closed
DFO Brisbane Airport: 1pm to 6pm
Indooroopilly Shopping Centre: Closed
Sunnybank Plaza: Closed
Pacific Fair: Closed
Public transport
Some TransLink services will run to different timetables for the Anzac Day public holiday.
Post offices
Post Offices are generally closed on public holidays, but some outlets in larger shopping centres and important metropolitan areas may be open depending on local arrangements. Make sure to double check your local branch before heading out.
As it is usual for state, regional and local public holidays, no local mail or parcel deliveries will take place on Good Friday or Easter Monday, including express post.
Banks
All Australian banks are closed on national public holidays including Anzac Day. Banks closed include Commonwealth Bank, Teachers Mutual Bank, NAB, Westpac and ANZ.
