Mr Limebeer has been out of the police force for 13 years but his instincts kicked in when a man fell to the ground over busy tramlines in Melbourne.

Mr Limebeer rushed through the Melbourne CBD lunchtime crowd to the man's aid, rolling him into the recovery position after checking his safety. "I grabbed a hold of him and pulled him off the tram tracks," Mr Limebeer said.
"He was in a lot of distress and I thought he was having a heart attack. He tried to stand up and fell back over."
