/22The father: Charlie Colt dressed up as Santa Claus to lift the spirits of the kids. He is pictured here on Christmas Day, 2006. All the following names have been changed for anonymity.
Exclusive: Pictures from Colt clan family album
These are the extraordinary family photos showing the life of the infamous Colt incest clan.
/22The farm: One of the Colt girls smiles at a pony kept in a makeshift pens on the farm. The Colts kept four ponies, as well as rabbits, cats and dogs and carers would later hear how children mutilated the animals.
/22The farm: The Colt children were given quads for Christmas presents and the male teenagers rode trail bikes around the farm for fun.
/22Quads: One of the young Colt children is pictured here riding around on a quad bike on their farm in rural New South Wales. Charlie Colt said the family members were big motorsport fans.
/22The farm: Charlie Colt, pictured prior to his interview with The Daily Telegraph on Wednesday, who denies claims he fathered children with his sister and raped them. He was recently arrested at Sydney airport after returning from NZ.
/22Christmas time at the Colt household.
/22Smiles: Betty Colt and her youngest daughter Carmen smile for the camera at a recent contact meeting. Carmen told interviewers her father was her uncle Charlie. She had never seen toilet paper and said she had sex with her family members. It remains unclear why she is wearing a sling in this photo.
/22Sleep: The children slept on crude thin mattresses — three to a tent. The tents were erected inside a large garden shed on the farm. Authorities say the conditions were “outrageous” when they swooped.
/22Travels: The Colts on tour — Brothers Albert and Karl (middle and right) enjoy a rest stop with cousin Petra (left) just outside Albury. When Karl was removed from his parents he threatened to stab staff with pencils and cut their throats.
/22The Colts on tour Tracey Colt cuddling her cousin Ruth while the bus winds its way through the outback. Billy Colt — recently at the centre of a kidnapping plot which landed his mother Betty in jail — looks on in the background.
/22Torture: Albert Colt, who told carers he tortured animals on the family compound, enjoying some time in the sun as a youngster on a farm in South Australia. Albert’s sisters told authorities he regularly had sex with them.
/22The farm: The Colts, many of who receive the dole, enjoyed a plasma television inside their bizarre shed. Chillingly, the children’s backpacks can be seen hanging off a beam in the background. Their al fresco dining set was placed under the shed roof.
/22Sleep: The haunting sleeping quarters of the Colt children where sexual abuse beyond description is believed to have taken place. According to the children, they were routinely raped by their siblings, cousins, uncles and fathers.
/22Presents: Family Christmas presents stack up inside the Colt shed a few years ago. Pictured are Dora the Explorer toys, a pet bird and children’s prams.
/22The farm: These shadowy playthings were discovered last year by The Daily Telegraph in a patch of rural New South Wales we are forbidden from naming. This photo was taken before the Colts’ compound was swooped upon by authorities in the winter of 2012.
/22The farm: Whitegoods and a gas barbecue were crammed into a corner of the Colts’ farm shed. One of Charlie Colt’s few admissions so far has been that the indoor gas barbecue was indeed a safety hazard.
/22Playtime: One of Betty Colt’s daughters poses for the camera on a set of play equipment bought by the family. Their pants and shirts are hung on a makeshift clothesline in the background, stretched out between the trees.
/22Outside: The remote campsite in southern New South Wales when The Daily Telegraph tracked it down last December.
/22Outside: The remote campsite in southern New South Wales, where generations of children from the same family were found living together.

/22Caravan: Generations of children from the same family were found living in filth.
/22Conviction: Betty Colt entering Moss Vale court this month. The allegedly incestuous mother and notorious Colt clan member will appeal her conviction over a brazen kidnapping plot on November 21.
