Peta Credlin: Scott Morrison needs to set a date for Australians to resume their normal lives
With the endless cycle of lockdowns destroying lives and vaccination rates soaring it is time for the Prime Minister to set a date for freedom so we can all get our lives back, writes Peta Credlin.

IT all depends whether you are a glass half-full or half-empty sort of person.
On Saturday Premier Daniel Andrews threw regional Victoria back into lockdown. His original seven-day “short, sharp lockdown” is now entering its fifth week.
In Sydney, cases hit 825 yesterday – a new Australian record – with 516 in hospital and 68 deaths this year.
But with over half of us now with at least one jab there’s an end in sight to these soul-destroying lockdowns.
Or is there?
It’s still only NSW that has promised to end restrictions once vaccination reaches 70 and 80 per cent. Elsewhere, the premiers want zero Covid and are refusing to rule out ongoing lockdowns.
With vaccination, other countries have got their lives back. Look at Britain, living normally again, despite 30,000 new cases a day.
With the cost of suppression (in terms of jobs lost, businesses closed, children struggling to be educated and mental health cases skyrocketing) now worse than the disease itself, the Prime Minister should name a date for freedom – say December 1 – and open clinics 24/7 with vaccine choice till then.
But, finally, give us our lives back.
