Meghan Markle pleads for privacy when it suits her

The world’s most painful woke couple - Meghan Markle and Prince Harry - are at it again, Sophie Elsworth argues, plonking son Archie in the thick of it.

Meghan and Harry's awkward Netflix dilemma

The world’s most painful woke couple – Meghan Markle and her handbag husband Prince Harry – dumped the royals, fled to another continent and pleaded for privacy.

While some were hoping that would be the end of the nightmare duo virtue signalling at any opportunity, they have this annoying habit of going quiet for a few weeks before they’re back making headlines.

After signing a $52 million multi-year deal with streaming service Spotify, just last week out they came with their new podcast series Archewell Audio in tow.

There’s a zillion other things I could think of doing before listening to their tripe which lectures listeners on their “lessons, reflections and hopes for 2021”.

This is the same couple that has constantly pleaded for privacy and yet in their half-hour podcast they’ve wheeled out 19-month-old son Archie.

The youngster – who clearly has an American accent on the podcast – is asked to say a few words.

And yes, while it’s cute, this irritating couple are now using their son to help bring in the cash, so let’s ditch privacy for the moment.

And not to forget the pair signed a Netflix deal to produce a range of programs and series, bringing them in a rumoured $186 million.

Who can forget when Markle attended Wimbledon while pregnant, sitting in a crowd of thousands of people but demanded to remain “incognito”.

It's fair to say that's an almighty task when she’s perched courtside at one of the world’s most-watched tennis tournaments.

Security awkwardly had to ask some patrons in the crowd not to photograph her — one man was told off but he wasn’t even taking photos of her.

If she wants privacy, then don’t go sit courtside at Wimbledon.

In the podcast Meghan tells listeners, “From us I’ll say no matter what life throws at you guys, trust us when we say, love wins.”

Does it?

What about the love for her own father who she abandoned and is no longer on speaking terms with?

And what about the love for her nearest and dearest friends, many of whom she’s lost over the years.

I’ve said all along Meghan and Harry’s marriage is on borrowed time.

Harry has become a wet blanket and certainly not the adoring Prince many once loved.

The pair came out in the lead up to the US election declaring in yet another punishing video of theirs that Americans should reject hate speech.

But whether you like him or not, President Donald Trump hit back and said what a lot of people think about Meghan by stating, “I’m no fan of hers”.

Yup, join the club.
