Anna Wintour should get her own house in order before lecturing Australia, writes Miranda Devine
For more than two decades Anna Wintour has presided over a bitch-eat-bitch industry that is vile to women. She should get her own house in order before preaching to Australia about politics, writes Miranda Devine.
Who does Anna Wintour think she is? The Vogue America editor-in chief has been here five minutes and she’s lecturing us like some dowager duchess come to the colonies to instruct the natives on etiquette.
For a snob who fancies herself as the style queen of the world, Wintour couldn’t have been ruder when she attacked one of our greatest tennis champions.
“I find that it is inconsistent for the sport for Margaret Court’s name to be on [this] stadium,” she said in a speech yesterday at the Australian Open.
“Intolerance has no place in tennis”.

Intolerance is virtue-signallers like Wintour trying to hound out of public life anyone who disagrees with them.
Wintour also had a go at the Prime Minister over LGBT issues
Seriously. Get your own house in order before you preach to us about politics. It’s not as if Wintour’s homeland or her adopted country have anything to boast about at the moment, what with the UK’s Brexit debacle and the US government shutdown.
Wintour, the archetypal New York social x-ray, immortalised as the devil in “The Devil Wears Prada”, is also a prize hypocrite.
For more than two decades she has presided over a bitch-eat-bitch industry that is vile to women. It chews up and spits out teenage models, making them starve to the point of illness. It pits women against each other and preys on our deepest fears.
She also was bosom buddy to sex predator Harvey Weinstein. She turned a blind eye to the sexual exploitation of young models until the #MeToo movement shamed her into belatedly suspending ties with suspect photographers. She defended Calvin Klein over a creepy ad campaign that glorified child porn.
Like all preening moralists, Wintour is playing a game of psychological projection. She criticises others to hide her own flaws. Ignore her.
