Andrew Bolt: Race warriors more racist than Eddie McGuire

The resignation of Eddie McGuire proves race warriors will never be satisfied by any concession to their “anti-racist” demands.

The woke revolution is now eating its own. Eddie McGuire, a man of the Left, is just the latest victim as race warriors run riot.

And just like the triumphant pigs who grabbed George Orwell’s Animal Farm from speciest humans — only to then stand on their hind legs and chant “four legs bad” — those race warriors sound more racist than the Collingwood president they forced to quit.

McGuire, who has done such enormous good in his 23 years as Collingwood president, teared up on Tuesday as he spoke of his love for his club and the sense of community football had given him.

But the race warriors couldn’t even allow him those tears during the worst humiliation of his life. They mocked them in terms more racist than anything McGuire had said in his life.

“Eddie McGuire Cries Salty White Tears As He Stands Down As Collingwood President,” sneered the far-left Junkee “news” site.

And Greens Senator Lidia Thorpe, who co-signed the petition that was the last straw for McGuire, accusing him of a “systemic racism” that no one could prove, repeated that racist jibe.

Yes, she had seen “the pain” in McGuire’s eyes, but “we actually refer to them as white tears,” she smirked on the ABC. Let’s try other versions of that line. “Nah, we just refer to them as Jewish tears.” “No, they’re just black tears.” “Just women’s tears.”

See the poison in the agenda of these race warriors? They will never, never, never be satisfied by any concession to their “anti-racist” demands. They will not look past the skin colour for the human.

That’s because what they really want — it seems — is not that we become blind to race, but that their “race” wins.

I think Thorpe made that clear, too.

“We have “system racism in this country”, she insisted. In our schools, our football, our health system, “everywhere”.

The Prime Minister should also consider resigning for racism, she said. And don’t try telling her McGuire actually did huge work to push the Aboriginal agenda — putting Aborigines in work, backing the Aboriginal flag, creating Aboriginal programs.

“That was an eye-roll moment for me,” said Thorpe.

“I immediately thought of Twiggy Forrest, and how there’s all these do-gooders out there that think they are doing the right thing, but they can still be racist …

“You can be our friend, you can give us a little bit of money for a program, but ultimately if you are racist yourself it comes through.”

What? Even Forrest, the leftist and philanthropist, is racist, too?

Who knew? Forrest, the ambassador for the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation. The creator of a program to get bosses to hire more Aborigines. The crusader who has signed more than $2.7bn in deals with Aboriginal businesses. The wokester who will on Sunday give a Boyer lecture on the ABC accusing this country of having systemic racism.

See? Even all the charity and all the frantic virtue signalling of Twiggy Forrest does not save even him from being denounced as a secret racist, too, and on the national broadcaster. Unchallenged.

No matter what he does, nothing can save him from the accusation that his thoughts are impure.

A world where we are judged on thoughts, not deeds, is where the bad and lazy win. A world where race becomes a weapon is where the stupid and violent decide. And a world where even Eddie McGuire is now judged too evil to lead a football club is one where none of us is safe.

The wokesters have already dealt with conservatives. Conservatives are virtually banned from writers’ festivals. They are rejected as hosts for all the ABC’s main current affairs shows. The social media giants increasingly harass them.

That’s done, so now these revolutionaries have turned on fellow leftists. It started with the banning of Germaine Greer from the Melbourne Writers Festival for criticising transgender extremism. Then came the ferocious campaign to vilify author Lionel Shriver for mocking identify politics. Then the demonisation of author JK Rowling.

This week Readings, the booksellers, even apologised for once inviting radical lesbian feminist Julie Bindel to give a talk. Not because she said men should be interned, but because she thinks, like Rowling, that only women are women.

And now McGuire has gone. Forrest smeared. Who’s next?

No, don’t bother anxiously waving your Aboriginal flag on Australia Day and chanting “always was, always will be”. Not even that will save you, white man.
