‘Absolute imbecile’: Ray Hadley calls on Anthony Albanese to sack climate change and energy minister Chris Bowen
After the climate change minister’s appalling performance in parliament this week, veteran broadcaster Ray Hadley says it’s time for Prime Minister Albanese to “tap Chris Bowen on the shoulder and tell him to nick off”.
Veteran broadcaster Ray Hadley says it’s time for Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to “tap Chris Bowen on the shoulder and tell him to nick off”.
When ordinary Australias are struggling with a cost of living crisis, the Minister of Climate Change and Energy had the gall to stand up in parliament and tell the nation that renewables are the future despite the fact coal power is cheaper, the price of energy is going trough the roof and inflation has ballooned to 3.8 per cent.
Hadley also wonders how many hundreds of hangers-on Bowen will take with him to Turkey in his new role as lead negotiator for the COP31 climate summit next year and whether he’s just positioning himself for a cushy role in the United Nations.
He concludes that Bowen, the man who also presided over Labor’s immigration debacle during the Gillard years, is a liability who will cost Albanese votes if the prime minister doesn’t axe him now.
