A teen OnlyFans star was found wandering around a ritzy Sydney suburb before an incident that saw her charged with assault and intimidation offences, a court has heard.

Paris Ow-Yang has no memory of the November incident, Waverley Local Court was told, as she blacked out after downing cocktails and champagne at an influencer event.

The 19-year-old millionaire, who has spoken publicly of the wealth she has accrued through online content creation, was later charged with common assault, damaging property and two counts of intimidation.

Lawyer Michael Bowe on Wednesday argued the matters should be dealt with under a Section 14 order, telling a magistrate Ms Ow-Yang had long suffered from mental health issues.

But Magistrate Paul Mulroney rejected the application, saying it was “not appropriate” in the circumstances, citing the need to protect victims.

Ms Ow-Yang pleaded guilty and the magistrate sentenced her to a conditional release order without convictions, which includes an undertaking to undergo treatment and not touch alcohol for 15 months.

The magistrate also imposed a two-year AVO protecting the victim.

Mr Bowe had argued his client’s problems with anxiety and depression stemmed from the breakdown of her parent’s marriage.

The court heard that on the day of the incident last month, Ms Ow-Yang had attended a jewellery event on her own.

Mr Bowe said she had consumed cocktails and “four glasses of champagne” before she had a blackout and “some friends found her wandering around Double Bay”.

He said Ms Ow-Yang had no recollection of the incident and “there’s certainly been nothing further”

“She’s doing her best to get her life back on track.”

Despite the “substantial income” she gains from social and other media involvement, Mr Bowe said, she was also open to online insults which impacted on her mental health.

He told the court Ms Ow-Yang flew to the US regularly to meet with her agent, and also “has a boyfriend, in the American army”.

The lawyer said her partner had been a “stable” influence, unlike a previous relationship with a 44-year-old man.

Mr Bowe characterised the November incident as a “one-off explosion”.

The police prosecutor did not oppose an order being made to dismiss the charges under Section 14, but in rejecting the bid Mr Mulroney remarked “the prosecutor is more generous than I am”.

“I don’t think that this is an appropriate matter for a section 14,” he said.

Mr Mulroney also said Ms Ow-Yang had previously had an unrelated charge of high-range drink driving dealt with in another court.

“You should have taken a much better look at yourself after the drink driving offence. And you should have done much more to address your alcohol problem,” he said.

“It is possible for you to live with them (the mental health issues) as long as you do your part … and quite frankly in recent times, you haven’t been doing your part.

“Alcohol is not a medication for mental health.”

Ms Ow-Yang, daughter of neurosurgeon Michael Ow-Yang, gained a huge following of 1.6 million fans on Instagram and TikTok before joining OnlyFans at 18.

She has spoken of the financial windfall the adult-content subscription site has given her, with the teen among the top 0.02 per cent of earners.

“For me, it’s been an incredible journey which has allowed me financial freedom and control over my career,” Ms Ow-Yang recently told The Daily Telegraph.

“I’ve been able to create an empire for myself, on my own terms, and I’m extremely proud of investing in numerous properties around the eastern suburbs.”
