A MAN has been charged with the murder of a 44-year-old woman, who found dead in her Bankstown home on Sunday.
Police established a crime scene at her unit to investigate the circumstances surrounding her death of 55-year-old Donna Green after her body was found in her unit on Dewitt St.
In bizarre circumstances, 44-year-old Wayne Cooper was arrested after he was spotted by neighbours under a balcony behind some shrubbery near the crime scene, at about 8.30am on Monday morning.
Wayne Cooper is understood to have been in a relationship with Ms Green.
“He was under there for half an hour before the police turned up,” a neighbour told Nine News.
Authorities were alerted to Ms Green’s death following a concern for welfare call at 7.30pm on Sunday night.
Officers from Bankstown Area Command found the body and established a crime scene which was examined by forensic experts.
