Police have charged a 27-year-old woman after she was allegedly caught supplying cocaine in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs overnight.
About 11.25pm on Friday, police allege they saw a man get into a Silver Hyundai Tucson at the intersection of Court Rd and Anderson Street in Double Bay.
The car drove for a short distance before the man got out on Kiaora Road.
Police said they stopped a 26-year-old Leichhardt man who they allege was carrying two bags of cocaine.
The female driver of the Hyundai was stopped on Bay Street and the car searched.
Police allege they found 16 bags of cocaine, cash and a phone in a concealed compartment.
The 27-year-old female driver, from Monterey, was arrested and charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug and deal with proceeds of crime.
She was granted conditional bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on March 3.
The Leichhardt man will appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 19 March 2020.
