Stars of two of the biggest shows globally have descended on the Harbour City for what is one of the biggest promotional visits Sydney has seen.
Launching new streaming service Max, lead actors from The Last Of Us and The White Lotus flew in on Sunday ahead of a series of events over the coming days.
First stop was a photo call at the Park Hyatt with iconic landmark the Opera House in the background.
Leading the troupe of The Last of Us cast was Bella Ramsey, alongside Kaitlyn Dever, Gabriel Luna, Jeffrey Wright, Isabela Merced and Young Mazino.
And for The White Lotus, Arnold Schwarzenegger’s actor son Patrick is in town, as is Leslie Bibb, Natasha Rothwell and Morgana O’Reilly.
Festivities will culminate in a massive red carpet event at Sydney’s State Theatre on Wednesday night.
Both shows have developed cult followings globally with The Last Of Us season two streaming on Max from April 14 and also available via Foxtel.
Season three of The White Lotus, shot in Thailand, is streaming now on Max and is also available on Foxtel and BINGE.
The White Lotus meanwhile had viewers collectively cringing worldwide when two brothers took things too far in a recent episode with Patrick Schwarzenegger one of the actors at the centre of the now infamous scene.
Schwarzenegger is also the son of Maria Shriver, of the famous American Kennedy family.
The White Lotus follows the lives of affluent guests and staff over one week at a plush Thailand resort – and also features some minor characters with distinct Aussie and Kiwi accents along the way.
Schwarzenegger gave a peace sign to onlookers as he was photographed arriving at Sydney Airport at the weekend, while Bibb struggled with her hair as inclement weather made for windy conditions.
In one of the latest episodes, Schwarzenegger’s know-it-all character Saxon has a big night at a Full Moon Party alongside his on screen younger brother Lochlan, played by fellow US actor Sam Nivola.
But, without revealing any spoilers, the two siblings go overboard in their intoxicated states – and wake up with more than a few regrets over their late night excesses.
Another star of Lotus’s hit Thailand season is Bibb’s character Kate, a woman from Texas who loves a gossip and jars her somewhat more sheltered friends when she suggests she voted for Donald Trump in the latest presidential election.
Bibb herself is no stranger to the limelight, having had roles in big movies such as Iron Man and being married to Academy Award winning actor Sam Rockwell.
Meanwhile, Natasha Rothwell plays Belinda, a staffer at the resort who also featured in the show’s first series, which was set in Hawaii.
The Last Of Us is a post-apocalyptic drama set two decades into a pandemic.
Ramsey plays immune teenager Ellie while Dever is set to join the cast in season two as Abby.
