A car has ploughed into the pharmacy storefront in one of Sydney’s affluent eastern suburbs.

About 10.50am Tuesday, emergency services arrived at Plumer Rd, Rose Bay, to find a white Audi sedan had smashed into the front of the business.

The pharmacy’s owner told The Daily Telegraph that it was an “interesting start” to his tenure running the business.

“I just bought the pharmacy two weeks ago and obviously when someone crashes into a window it’s an interesting start,” he said.

“Everyone was all right, no one was hurt at least. The professionals handled it really well. It was cleaned up in 30 to 40 minutes and these things happen.”

“I had certain internet and Eftpos issues at first, now a window issue.”

The accident occured after the car’s driver — reportedly an older woman — shifted into the wrong gear and drove into the store instead of reversing onto the street.

NSW Ambulance’s media unit said no one was injured at the scene and the driver had refused medical assistance.

NSW Police said the car did not breach the store front.
