We ranked Australia’s most influential caravan travellers
Meet the social media savvy travellers who ditched the nine-to-five grind to earn a living by showcasing Australia's hidden gems from their home on wheels.
While there’s countless young Aussies hitting the road in a caravan, a chosen few are the ones who’ve sent #vanlife viral, giving us all travel FOMO in the process.
Beyond a fun way to see Australia and spend time with loved ones, caravan blogging has also become a creative way for the social media savvy to fund their travels, with happy snaps and jawdropping videos shared online helping to keep their vans rolling.
Bryce Connole and Chelsea Wood initially set out for a year-long odyssey, but love van life so much it has become their full-time job.
The couple, who travel with their dog Juice, fell into content creation mid-journey and now share the ins and outs of their travels with more than 100,000 followers via their ‘Caravan Adventure Aus’ social media accounts.
“We started off by finding work in different locations and little towns as I’m a plumber by trade, but we’ve now been able to turn that into working online through paid promotions,” Mr Connole said.
“It’s turned into everyday life for us now, we started off thinking a year but we’ve just kept going as it’s so achievable for people to do.
“We may as well go out and do it, show people what’s out there and make the most of it while we’re young.”
We’ve ranked the most influential caravan travellers to follow, if you’re looking for inspiration for your next caravan trip or are considering van life yourself.
