CONSERVATIVE firebrand Milo Yiannopoulos has labelled former prime minister Julia Gillard a “complete pr***” and revealed the first date of his Australian speaking tour.

The right-wing provocateur, who yesterday described himself as a “one man wrecking crew”, took aim at the former Labor leader after admitting he was a big fan of Tony Abbott.

“I liked that guy Tony Abbott. I thought he was cool because he was ballsy and upset all the people that I didn’t like,” Yiannopoulos told reporters at a press conference.

“He was up against Julia Gillard who seemed like a complete pr***.”

The British-born, US-based commentator will hold his first show in Sydney on December 5 but stressed all venues will be kept secret until 24 hours beforehand.

When asked why he was keeping mum on the show’s locations, Yiannopoulos claimed it was because journalists would “invent” stories.

“If I name a specific venue journalists will invent the fact protests are planned hoping to create that reality. And in many cases they do create that reality — it becomes a self-perpetuating thing,” he said.

One Sydney venue has already been changed but Yiannopoulos’ management denied this was due to planned protests, citing security access issues.

While refusing to elaborate on the show’s content, the outspoken commentator said Australia’s reputation for commonsense and fun was “at risk of being lost”.

“I think Australia might need saving from itself sometime soon, so I’m here as a sort of warning from America,” he said.

He also said he was “flattered” by Greens leader Richard Di Natale’s attempt to have him banned from attending an event next Tuesday at Parliament House.

His controversial views on women — once declaring “feminism is cancer” — and Muslims, and his links to neo-Nazis, have been widely criticised and even seen him banned from Twitter.

“You’ve got parliamentarians, people who are the beneficiaries of all of the things that make the West great ... casting out the right of free speech and calling invited guests to parliament house ‘white supremacists’. But it’s not going to work anymore,” he said.

Yiannopoulos has sold more than 10,000 tickets for his speaking tour of Sydney, Perth, Melbourne, the Gold Coast and Adelaide.
