Valet driver’s epic fail as Porsche found under SUV
A LUXURY Sydney valet driver has been left red-faced after a pricey black Porsche ended up underneath a Subaru, shocking many bystanders today. But the hotel worker will get to keep his job.

THE valet driver at the centre of an embarrassing parking fail this morning will get to keep his job.
It is believed he thought he put the guest’s Porsche in reverse but instead accelerated full throttle into an orange Subaru, wedging the car and himself under it at the Hyatt Regency on Sussex St in the city today.
He just sat in shock, trapped in the car until emergency services arrived to remove him about 8.30am.
“I have seen the valet guy in the car, he didn’t know what to do,” local cafe worker Karla said.
“He was in the front, he was totally shocked. He couldn’t get out.

“The ambulance and fire brigade came they were jacking the orange car up so he could get out.
“He was meant to reverse it but drove it straight back into the orange car. The force of the meant the orange car it just went up, it had nowhere else to go.”
Police Rescue rushed to the hotel and stabilised the car up so the embarrassed employee could get out of the vehicle.
The hotel’s general manager asked the valet driver if he was okay before he was assessed by paramedics. He was uninjured.
Police breath tested him at the scene and returned a negative result.
He was given the rest of the day off won’t lose his job over the mistake.
The owner of the black Porsche Carrera, which retails for in excess of $200,000, was also consoled by hotel staff.
He appeared calm and said, “I’m just going to take a walk.”
Hyatt Communications Manager Camilla Cooper said the hotel was now conducting its own investigation into the incident.
“We are currently undergoing a full assessment together with the local authorities and the vehicle owners on the incident,” she said in a statement.
“Hyatt Regency Sydney places the utmost importance on the safety of our staff and guests and a full investigation is being conducted by hotel management over the next few days.”
