Haunting footage has emerged of Assyrian religious leader Bishop Mar Mari Emmanuel talking about warnings of death just a few weeks before he was stabbed during a live-streamed mass.

In a circulating video posted on TikTok in late February, the Bishop appears to be at peace with death despite the apparent warnings saying that he “has two weeks left to live.”

“There has been a video circulating on TikTok and I don’t know where else,” the Bishop said. “Saying that the Bishop has two weeks to live and somebody is saying farewell Bishop and we’re really sad to see you go.

“Look I was extremely excited when I heard I had two weeks to live because I don’t want to stay in this world, for me it’s over.

“Whether I stay or not it doesn’t really matter.

“I’ve had my share of this world.”

Just a few weeks later he was allegedly stabbed several times by a 16-year-old at the Christ The Good Shepherd Church in Wakeley.

Video from inside the church shows police holding the alleged attacker on the ground, as churchgoers berate and slap him on the head.

“You f--king what, people are praying and you gonna come and do this?” one man said. “Don’t, don’t, stop, just let it go, please, you’re only going to make it worse,” the policeman told the crowd, as he pinned the alleged attacker down.

Police officers who were first on the scene soon found themselves trapped inside the church and having to protect the alleged attacker, as the mob grew in size outside.

As an angry mob of thousands formed outside the church, responding police were injured trying to control the crowd and several police cars were damaged.

None of the injuries to Bishop Mar Mari or the other men were non-life threatening, with video from inside the church showing the religious leader being tendered to by churchgoers.
