Two men charged after $2 million worth of drugs seized

Two men will face court today charged as part of an ongoing investigation into criminal networks involved in illicit drug supply in Sydney.
Following extensive police investigations, a 23-year-old man was arrested at an apartment at Pyrmont about 8.20pm yesterday.
During a search of the man and his vehicle, police seized 1kg of ice and $3,480 cash.
The 23-year-old Sefton man was taken to Day Street Police Station and charged with nine counts of supply prohibited drug, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
He was refused bail to appear at Central Local Court today.
Shortly after the arrest, detectives searched three homes at Sefton and Strathfield.
During the bust, police seized 1.1kg of MDMA, more than 100g of ice, over 350g of heroin, more than $50,000 cash, Valium, mobile phones, SIM cards, electronic devices, drug paraphernalia, and documentation.
A 20-year-old man was arrested at one of the Strathfield properties was charged with six counts of supply prohibited drug, supply prohibited drugs on an ongoing basis, and participate criminal group contribute criminal activity.
He was refused bail to appear at Burwood Local Court today.
The drugs seized during the investigation so far have a total estimated potential street value of more than $2 million.
Investigations under Strike Force Youdale are continuing, and further arrests are expected.
