Northern NSW police have released an image as part of their investigation into a 21-year-old cold case.
Tweed-Byron detectives investigating the suspected 2002 homicide of Iain Hogg released a comfit picture on Tuesday of a man they believe may be able to assist their inquiries.
Police were told on March 11, 2002, a firearm was shot in Mr Hogg’s direction in a carpark on Coral St, Tweed Heads.
It is believed Mr Hogg died at the scene, and his body was put in the Tweed River.
However, his corpse has never been found.
Mr Hogg’s car, a red Toyota Celica, was seen in the same carpark at the time of the incident.
A million dollar reward was recently announced for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
As part of ongoing inquiries, detectives have now released an image of a man they believe can assist with their inquiries.
He is described as being of caucasian appearance with fair hair, and, at the time of the incident, was believed to be aged in his early to mid-20s.
