SINGLE lane closures will occur on the Tugun Bypass today and tomorrow due to maintenance on the road and surrounding vegetation.
Southbound lanes will be closed between 10am-4pm DST, while northbound lanes will be closed between 11am-5pm.
The works were scheduled to avoid peak hour traffic and Queensland Transport anticipates that most motorists will not be affected.
Wet weather or adverse conditions would change the schedule and Tugun may receive some patchy rain today and tomorrow according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
Queensland Transport advises motorists that speed restrictions will be in place, and to be especially careful while the roadworks are in progress.
They also warned that there may be further work occurring on the bypass next week.
