A massive “anaconda sized” python is on the loose on the Queensland-New South Wales border, with its owners keen to see their family pet slither back home.
And its not the first time the rebellious reptile has escaped.
On Tuesday, Banora Point resident Petra Christian took to social media to help locate the eight-foot albino python.
“Has anyone seen an albino python in the Banora area?,” she wrote on Facebook.
“She accidentally had the tank left open after the kids were handling her. She’s incredibly friendly, 8ft long and very healthy looking. Well fed and well taken care of.”
Ms Christian went on to say the seriously sneaky snake may “potentially be in the house ... but playing it safe and putting it out there”.
She said the python had escaped on two other occasions in a three-year-period.
A local resident shared the post and wrote “that’s not a pet that thing is anaconda sized”.
Another joked: “It might be hiding in a pair of trousers”.
Another wrote the animal would “scare the s--t out of someone” if they came across it.
One woman urged residents to “check your bed before you get in tonight”.
