Two trucks have collided before smashing into a Sydney home and bursting into flames with both drivers airlifted to hospital.
The two trucks collided on Heathland Avenue in Schofields, in Sydney’s west, about 10.15pm on Tuesday and continued on into the front of a two-storey house, with one truck catching fire.
Neighbours put out the fire and got one driver out of his truck but the second man was trapped and had to be freed by firefighters. The drivers were airlifted to Westmead Hospital with serious leg fractures.
The family in the home at the time were shaken but otherwise uninjured.
