Tribute to Aussie IS thug Khaled Sharrouf by compatriot jihadist Neil Prakash indicates he was killed in an air strike

A SENIOR Islamic State militant has posted a tribute to notorious Sydney standover thug Khaled Sharrouf, suggesting he has been killed in an air strike then issued a new threat against Australians.
Melbourne jihadist Neil Prakash said he hoped Abu Zarqawi Al Australi — a nom de guerre used by Sharrouf — would be granted a “Shahadah”.
“I ask Allah swt to grant my dear beloved brother Abu Zarqawi Al Australi a Shahadah that’s accepted. Ya khanazeer (pigs) your pilots will suffer,” Prakash said.
Prakash - an Islamic convert of Fijian Indian-Cambodian background - also issued a new threat against Australians.
“Ya Allah you are the one who created and guided us, I ask you please reveal those who plot against Islam and guide us to kill them!”
Sharrouf had been falsely reported dead in June after his best mate Mohamed Elomar was killed in a drone strike.
The Sharrouf family — including Khaled, wife Tara and their five children — has been under constant bombardment seeking shelter inside their Raqqa compound.
US-led coalition jets have pounded the death cult’s main city in recent weeks, forcing foreign fighters and their widows and wives indoors.
Prakash — Australia’s most senior ranking recruiters for the terrorist organisation — has posted about “dead bodies” becoming “stepping stones”.
The 24-year-old has also discussed with other jihadists how to avoid being targeted by lasers before drone strikes.
“Dead bodies become your stepping stones, hellfire missiles become your close companions, the only coolness is the flag plantin or Shahadah!
“So make dua (worship) for those fighting.”
Sharrouf and Elomar had established themselves as murderous thugs, posing with the heads of rival soldiers and posting photos to social media.
They also forced Sharrouf’s son to pose holding the decapitated heads.
The pair had become increasingly paranoid they were being targeted before Elomar was killed travelling with an IS convoy near Raqqa in June.
They had even stopped travelling together because they believed that would make them a bigger target.
Sharrouf’s luxury white BMW had been attacked by rockets in the week’s before Elomar’s death.
Ironically, security sources have confirmed Elomar was not the primary target of the US Predator Drone strike, aimed at another senior IS official.
The Daily Telegraph last month exclusively revealed Sharrouf’s eldest daughter Zaynab — who was forced to marry Elomar at 14 — continued her attacks against coalition forces.
“What can enemies do to me? My paradise is with me in my heart wherever I go. To imprison me is to provide me with seclusion,” she said.
On a Twitter account linked to her, Umm Hafs — derived from Elomar’s nom de guerre Abu Hafs — said those who were killed in the “way of Allah” were actually “alive”.
“They think that if they hit his car with a missile, it would kill him. Instead, they gave him Jannatul Firdaus (highest level of “paradise”).”
While Zaynab and her siblings are unlikely to face terror offences, their mother Tara would likely be charged.
Tara’s mother Karen Nettleton has made public pleas to the Abbott Government asking for assistance to return her daughter and grandchildren to Australia.
