Tim Worner’s former mistress Amber Harrison wants to meet with Seven West Media board to ‘explain my truth’

UPDATE: Seven West is mounting an inquiry into the alleged sex-and-drugs scandal involving CEO Tim Worner with his ex-mistress alleging he used drugs before a work conference.

SEVEN West is mounting an inquiry into the alleged sex-and-drugs scandal involving chief executive Tim Worner.

This comes as his ex-mistress Amber Harrison wants to front the company’s board to back her claims he used drugs before a work conference.

Ms Harrison yesterday volunteered to be grilled by the Seven West Media board to “explain my truth”.

She believes Mr Worner has clung to his job because when board members grilled him he denied using drugs in work settings.

Married father Mr Worner this week expressed shame and regret after Ms Harrison went public with sordid details of their long-running affair. He emerged publicly yesterday for the first time since the scandal broke.

Ms Harrison alleges she and Mr Worner engaged in an all-night cocaine bender at a two-day work conference in 2013. Seven network sources say Mr Worner strongly denies this.

The conference was attended by up to 30 senior Seven West Media executives.

“He spent all night taking drugs with me. We were up all night, we barely slept,” Ms Harrison claimed in an interview with The Daily Telegraph yesterday.

“He partied hard … and then went off the next day and attended important work sessions.

“There were up to 30 people there at the conference, the cream of the cream at Seven. How can he deny that was a work event?”

Seven has failed to publicly deny or address in any detail the cocaine allegations levelled against its CEO.

Ms Harrison claims she exchanged a string of racy text messages with Mr Worner throughout the conference in late July 2013.

She says he sent text messages including “I am f rooted” and “I am completely cactus” — which she alleges was as a result of their nocturnal activities.

Ms Harrison organised the conference and provided administrative support in her role as executive assistant to chief operating officer Nick Chan.

Meanwhile, a picture has emerged of a singed and smashed phone Ms Harrison said she asked a friend to destroy with a blowtorch as Seven wanted her to hand it over and she objected.

She said she feared what executives would do if they got access to sensitive personal data, including texts exchanged with Mr Worner.

Seven insiders say Ms Harrison was expected to return the phone for inspection so executives could check she’d complied with a deed she’d signed, agreeing to delete sensitive material in return for $100,000 to stay quiet about her affair.

Seven denied requesting that the phone be destroyed by way of a blowtorch, and said the level of damage meant it was impossible to determine whether the phone was Ms Harrison’s device.
