Three ‘mates’ caught in wild and bizarre fist fight in Surry Hills
Three men have been captured on video engaged in a wild and bizarre fist fight in the middle of the road in Sydney’s Surry Hills. Amazingly, no-one appears to have been seriously hurt in the violent confrontation.
Three men have been captured on video engaged in a wild and bizarre fist fight in the middle of the road in Sydney’s Surry Hills overnight.
Passers-by noticed the three men yelling and becoming aggressive with each on Kippax street near the corner of Holt Street about 2.30am.
One witness, who asked not to be named, said he thought the three men were ‘mates’ involved in some rough pranking until one of the men delivered a sickening high kick to the head of one of the other men.
The video of the fight began with a man in a white and black T-shirt shaping up and punching a smaller man in a light t-shirt to the head.
As this happened third man, who was tall, muscular and wearing a bum bag on his chest, came to support the smaller man and shaped up to the man in the black and white shirt.
With the taller assailant moving in, the black and white shirt fighter ran down Kippax St before turning back around to square off against the taller man.
When the taller man moved away, the black and white shiredt fighter landed several blows to the shorter fighter’s head, who attempted to shield himself from the blows.
The exchange saw the smaller man pinned against a carpark fence when he was knocked to the ground. He was then kicked in the head.
It ended when one of the men smashed a bottle before they disappeared behind a building.
Bizarrely, with the fight over, the three men appeared to walk off in the same direction towards Elizabeth St.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said there was no investigation because the fight had not been reported to police and there were no official victims who had made a complaint.
No charges have been laid over the incident.
