A 34-year-old man arrested at his Leppington home this morning is the third to be arrested over Mr Ledinh’s death.
Police will allege he organised and sub-contracted out the hit on Mr Ledinh, 65, who was shot three times at point-blank range as he sat outside the Happy Cup café at Bankstown City Plaza just after 3.35pm on January 23, 2018.
The man’s 35-year-old wife Analosa Ah Keni was also arrested and charged with murder in March for allegedly monitoring Mr Ledinh in the moments before his death, providing clothes to disguise the alleged triggerman and having her van used as a getaway car.
The alleged gunman Arthur Kelekolio, 35, was arrested at Sydney International Airport before he could board a flight to Bali in February. He too was charged with murder.
The man arrested when Strike Force Raptor officers stormed his Leppington this morning, is under questioning at Narellan Police Station today and is expected to be charged.
Police believe Ledinh was involved in a dispute with a number different parties over money when he died. Which, if any, of those parties ordered his death has not been revealed.
