A right-wing extremist landed himself in trouble this week for giving himself a makeover.
Ricky White, who burned down a Pentecostal church in Taree in 2016, is one of a handful of convicted criminals in NSW monitored in the community under strict anti-terrorism legislation.
The 28-year-old is subject to an extended supervision order, which prevents him from doing anything without telling his law enforcement minders about it first.
That includes picking up a pair of clippers.
He was allegedly caught out on Thursday when NSW Police officers turned up on his doorstep for a routine ESO check and discovered he’d shaved off his bushranger beard.
The strict order prevents White from changing his physical appearance without telling police.
White was back in the clink by the afternoon and charged with breaching an ESO.
He was refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on August 4.
HOTEL QUARANTINE
It appears Sydney’s security guards have more self-control than their Melbourne counterparts.
As scandal raged in Victoria over the contagious liaisons involving security guards, quarantine hotel quests and a COVID-19 outbreak, The Snitch questioned whether the same behaviour was occurring in the Harbour City’s quarantine ‘sky prisons’.
The answer was no.

In fact, we were told one security guard working at a Sydney hotel asked to move floors after he had an awkward encounter with a guest.
The woman, who was staying in the CBD hotel under mandatory quarantine, opened her hotel door naked and propositioned the red-faced security officer. We hear he quickly turned on his heels and reported the interaction to his boss.
COAST COMMANDER
The drama as to who will be the king of the mid-north coast cops appears to have been settled.
After long-serving commander Paul Fehon left following a culture review, we’re told Shane Cribb will be elevated to the role officially on July 26.
Fehon was in charge for over a decade but left following the review that found relations between the commander and the rank and file were at boiling point.
Fehon’s wife, Kim, was his 2IC and crime manager at the area command but is now on leave.
