The Argyle Sydney tops list of most violent venues in NSW
A popular Sydney pub has been named as the most violent venue in the state after dozens of recorded incidents in the past 12 months. FIND OUT WHICH VENUES MADE THE LIST.

Twelve licensed venues across NSW have been named on the state government’s half-yearly violent venues list, down from 14 in the previous list.
Two venues, The Argyle in Sydney and The Coast Hotel in Coffs Harbour were named as “category 1” with 25 and 19 violent incidents respectively in the past 12 months.
10 venues across Sydney and NSW were placed on the “category 2” list with Ivy in the CBD dropping from level 1 to 2 with a recorded 17 incidents.

CATEGORY 2 VENUES
1. Ivy, Sydney — 17 incidents
2. The Sunken Monkey Hotel, Erina — 17 incidents
3. Sydney Junction Hotel, Hamilton (Newcastle) — 16 incidents
4. Amaroo Hotel, Dubbo — 15 incidents
5. Narellan Hotel, Narellan — 13 incidents
6. King Street Hotel, Newcastle West — 13 incidents
7. Beach Rd Hotel, Bondi Beach — 12 incidents
8. Camden Hotel, Camden — 12 incidents
9. Sugar Lounge, Manly — 12 incidents
10. Fusion, Cronulla — 12 incidents
Four venues have been removed from the list in what Liquor and Gaming NSW Deputy Secretary Paul Newson said is an “improvement” that confirms alcohol-related violence is trending down.
“It’s pleasing that several previously named venues have improved their safety record, “ Mr Newson said.

2. Penrith Rugby League Club, Penrith — 11 incidents
3. Coogee Bay Hotel, Coogee — 9 incidents
4. Home Nightclub, Sydney — 5 incidents
Mr Newson praised the violent venues scheme for encouraging pubs to reduce alcohol-related violence since 2008.
“There has been an overall fall of 86 per cent in the number of violent incidents at listed venues — from 1270 to 183,” he said.
“These results show that the vast majority of venues across NSW do the right thing and provide a safe environment for people to enjoy a night out.”
